For those who have not seen it, this was an email that was sent out on Thursday, September 3.
Dear loved ones,
(This was written Wednesday, September 2 by Dan)
Linda went to ER on Tuesday morning, with extreme pain in her groin, back and neck. She was also having difficulty breathing and had not slept very much for a few nights. She was given some needles and then had a “pain pump” installed to help control the pain. She was put on oxygen to try to get her oxygen levels back up. The doctor in ER wanted her to be admitted to hospital, so she stayed Tuesday night and will be here for at least a few days to try to get some TLC and a little better control of her symptoms.
Please pray for Linda, as many of her symptoms (pain, breathing, tumours in various places, fluid buildup) are reaching an extremely difficult point. Please pray to the Almighty for us, for He can do abundantly above all that we ask or think. How we long for the day of Christ’s coming, that we may experience healing, joy and peace. We hope to be listening online on Wednesday night to Brother Joe’s class on current events, as we share in the hope that it must only be hours or days till our Saviour comes.

At about 5:00pm on Wednesday, Linda seemed to be in some distress and did not want Dan to go home. He had planned to go home to have dinner and watch Bible class with the boys while I stayed with her. The nurse gave Linda medicine which did not seem to help take the pain away, particularly in Linda’s neck. The doctor recommended giving Linda strong medication to make her comfortable; however it would also make her more sleepy. With Linda’s comfort in mind after months of unbearable pain and difficulty breathing, they decided to begin the new medication. Dan stayed with Linda while I went home to bring Linda’s parents and the boys to visit Linda at the hospital while she was still awake. Aunt Mary came and spent Tuesday and Wednesday night with the boys at the house. Tim came and joined us at the hospital so we could take turns sitting up with Linda when she woke through the night.
Through the night she was able to rest between all the different types of medicines being administered and machines beeping. This morning her pain seems to be managed but she still has anxiety over breathing, it is difficult for her to talk and she is not always coherent.
We don’t know what each day may bring, but we know our gracious and Almighty God will do what is best in His infinite wisdom.
Love in our hope,
Here are a few photos taken at the hospital on Thursday and Friday.
